‘Keluang Man’ And ‘Usop Sontorian’ Creator Dies At 63

90s kids, we’re pretty confident you’re familiar with legendary local cartoon TV shows such as ‘Keluang Man’ and ‘Usop Sontorian’.
And these iconic characters wouldn’t be here to colour our wonderful childhood without its creator, Kamaruddin Ismail, also known as Kamn Ismail, who sadly passed away at the age of 63 on Sunday evening.
According to the New Straits Times, Kamn died at the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) at 4.15pm after suffering from a heart attack and other ailments.
He has been receving treatment at UMMC for the past two months.
"On behalf of Animas, we are saddened by his passing and we extend our condolences to his family," Malaysian Animation Society (Animas) Amir Hamzah Hashim said.
Kamn was the pioneer for Malaysian animation, by using computer animation and 2D and 3D hybrid animation in the 90s.
Fans of the animated series were sad for his loss and express the news via Twitter.
