Look Who’s Laughing Now: ‘Joker’ Set For A Sequel Following Phenomenal Success

Director Todd Philipps’ take on the iconic Gotham City villain, the Joker, has been met with massive success and rave reviews.

The film became a pop culture phenomenon and helped turn one of New York’s staircases into a tourist attraction.

Now many fans are left wondering if they will ever get to see Joaquin Phoenix’s outstanding performance once again in a ‘Joker’ sequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, after ‘Joker’ has successfully crossed the USD1 billion (RM4.17 billion) mark, the movie studio has announced that a second 'Joker' movie is already in the pipeline.

Apparently, Warner Bros. has already set up sequel options for Phoenix.

No word yet on what ‘Joker 2’ will be like or who will star in it because, let’s be realistic, it’s too soon to tell; the film is still showing in cinemas.

‘Joker’ is currently the most profitable comic book film ever made and we have a feeling that it will continue to rake in bigger bucks at the box office.

Well, if the ‘Joker’ is already dark and depressing, we can’t imagine how twisted and darker it will be.
