A biopic is currently in the works about the iconic diva working to release her debut album in the Big Apple, while struggling to balance fame, romance and the music industry at the time.
Universal is set to develop the biopic titled Blonde Ambition and it will be produced by Michael De Luca, who also produced the Fifty Shades franchise.
The studio had purchased rights to a screenplay about Madonna’s first album, which also topped the 2016 Black List – an annual list of the most-liked unproduced screenplays in Hollywood.
