With all the accolades and wins that Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh has earned since starring in Everything Everywhere All at Once, Rojak Daily has basically turned into the Ipoh-born actress fan page at this point.

Earlier this year, she notably became the first Asian and Malaysian to walk home with the Best Actress Award at the Oscars. On 24 May, she delivered her keynote address at Harvard Law School’s 2023 Class Day, where she shared valuable tips to achieve success.

However, it seems that she is continually outdoing her own achievements of being Malaysia’s most celebrated actor of all time as she is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024. Other notable names included in the Class of 2024 include the late Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pine, Gal Gadot, Toni Braxton, and Dr Dre.

It is one of Hollywood’s leading attractions and welcomes 10 million visitors annually. It currently consists of more than 2,700 five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars embedded into the sidewalk which stretches 2.1km along 15 blocks down Hollywood Boulevard.

According to the Walk of Fame’s official website, ‘The criteria for receiving a star consists of the following: professional achievement, longevity in the category of five years or more, contributions to the community, and the guarantee that the celebrity will attend the dedication ceremony if selected.’

The stars are unveiled at free public ceremonies, which are often attended by honourees and are a great way to see your idols up close.

Yeoh acknowledged her upcoming accreditation with a repost of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Instagram post of the announcement with simple celebratory emojis.
