M’sians Are Digging This Song About Sleep From ‘Didi & Friends’ Because It’s So Relatable

Malaysian parents and children will probably be familiar with the popular animated character, Didi & Friends.

‘Didi & Friends’ have a lot of educational songs under their belt, which is why a lot of children enjoy watching them as they make learning fun.

However, it seems that not only children are digging their songs.

Recently, one of the songs from ‘Didi & Friends’ went viral on Twitter because of its unusually catchy beat and relatable lyrics.

Twitter user @lilpotatoesssss shared an excerpt of the song "Mengantuknya Mumia" with the caption “Me at school” which garnered over 33,000 retweets.

The song currently has over 2.8 million views on its YouTube channel.

Using autotune and hip-hop beats coupled with lyrics like “Mengantuk… mengantuk, nak tidur mana? Mengantuk… mengantuk, tolonglah saya”, it’s no wonder that the song is a hit among adults (including us!).

Some netizens even pointed out that the song sounds like rapper Lil Uzi’s song. For us, it reminded us of T-Pain thanks to the autotune.
