Namewee Wants To Break A World Record With His Music Video, And He Needs Your Help!
Dream big and you will achieve it.
Malaysian rapper Namewee has big plans for 2018, and he needs your help, fellow Malaysians. The 34-year-old sometimes controversial performer wants to earn a place in the Guiness Book of World Records by having the most people simultaneously dance to his latest music video "Makudonarudo".
According to a report by Chinese newspaper Sinchew Daily, the song was made in collaboration with Japan's COOL Japan TV and features an appearance by famed Japanese actress Meu Ninomiya.
In the music video, Namewee and Meu can be seen dancing the wa, a traditional festive dance in Japan.
And he hopes that particular dance will help him achieve a world record.
“The idea of the dance is for all to get hand in hand. I hope everyone across the world, regardless of country, colour, culture or language, can join hands to take part in this dance,” Namewee was quoted as saying.
However, he did not mention where and when the world record attempt will take place, so maybe stalk his Facebook page from time to time?
Since the video was uploaded in November, it has amassed more than six million views on YouTube.
If all six million people decide to come out and do the dance, we're pretty sure he'll get the world record.
