Netizens Stunned To Find That K-Drama ‘Vincenzo’ Wasn’t Actually Filmed In Italy
Malaysian K-drama fans are having a new sort of fever – Italian fever.
Currently trending number one on the Malaysian Netflix chart, ‘Vicenzo’, tells the tale of Vincezo Cassano (played by Song Joong-ki), a Korean boy who was adopted by an Italian mafia when he was eight years old and eventually became a lawyer and consigliere for the mafia.
If you’ve watched the show, you may have believed that some parts of the show were filmed in Italy.
However, it turns out we were all conned as it was all Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) effects.
Make it look like Italy… but in South Korea
South Korea broadcasting channel tvN recently shared on its YouTube channel the behind-the-scenes for the TV series ‘Vincenzo’.With the COVID-19 pandemic taking place worldwide, many viewers wondered how the production team managed to film ‘Vincenzo’ in Italy.
However, it was later revealed that the production was never filmed in Italy, and many of the Italian scenes were, in fact, the work of computer graphics.
The CGI effects were so good that netizens were stunned to find out that it was filmed in South Korea all along.
