Is A New 'The Matrix' Film Coming Soon?
If you grew up in the late 1990s, chances are that you would have seen -- or at least, heard of -- 'The Matrix' movies.
The movie, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss, was ahead of its time, with its gorgeous special effects, jaw-dropping fight scenes and neverending action sequences.
You could say that 'The Matrix' movies were the 90s version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
If you're one of those people who are praying that the studio would make another trilogy (ala 'Star Wars') or reboot the franchise, well, you might just get your wish.

“I’m super happy that the Wachowskis are not just doing a Matrix, but they’re expanding what we all loved," he was quoted as saying.
If you're wondering how Stahelski knows all this, he used to work as Keanu Reeves' stunt double in the trilogy.
So, can we really take his word for it? Well, yes and no.

His comments, according to Slash Film, "were in response to a hypothetical scenario were the Wachowskis would be involved and he did not confirm them being attached to the new film."
To further complicate things, Keanu Reeves, who played the titular character Neo, mentioned that he'll only reprise his role if the Wachowskis are involved.
So, no Wachowskis, no 'The Matrix 4'.

Guess we'll just have to wait a little bit longer for the official announcement.
