Papa Zola The Movie, produced by MONSTA Studio and Astro Shaw, has achieved a remarkable milestone by grossing RM25.6 million within just 11 days of screening. What's even more impressive is that the film now sits at number one on GSC’s Top 10 chart, surpassing major international franchises such as Avatar: Fire and Ash, Zootopia 2, and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.

The movie’s success is fueled by audiences of all ages, particularly families taking advantage of the school holiday season to enjoy the film together.

A family phenomenon

Director and writer of Papa Zola The Movie, who is also MONSTA’s CEO, Nizam Abd Razak, expressed his gratitude.

“The school holidays have given families the perfect opportunity to spend time together, and we’re thankful that Papa Zola The Movie has become a top choice for family outings," he shared.

"What makes this even more meaningful is that the momentum is driven by genuine audience experiences. This ‘truth fever’ phenomenon proves that organic support for local films can inspire more people to back homegrown creations.”

The excitement extended beyond the big screen with a recent promotional tour across Perlis, Penang, Kedah, Perak, and the Klang Valley. Fans flocked to meet beloved mascots including Papa Zola, Mama Zila, Pipi Zola, and BoBoiBoy, turning the events into lively celebrations of the film’s success.
