The whole Johnny Depp-Amber Heard debacle is far from over for now, especially after Depp’s unfruitful lawsuit reached a verdict.

Following the actor's exit from the film ‘Fantastic Beasts’ franchise, fans are now pressuring movie execs to remove Heard from ‘Aquaman 2’ in return.

A petition put up presumably by Depp’s fans to terminate Heard has now reached over 1.1 million signatures on Change.org.

Justice for Johnny?

Road to 1.5 million signatures.
“Amber Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser by Johnny Depp.”

“In his $50 million lawsuit, Johnny Depp describes many incidents of domestic abuse that he suffered at the hands of his (then) wife Amber Heard, including one incident where she punched him twice in the face and another where she shattered his finger with a vodka bottle, and his finger had to be surgically reattached. He will bear the scar from that for the rest of his life,” the petition wrote.

The petition also added that Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from ‘Aquaman 2’ and they must not glamourise a domestic abuser.

“Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from ‘Aquaman 2’.”

Heard as Mera.
Although fans would like to get justice for Depp, it seems unlikely that Heard will be dropped from the ‘Aquaman’ sequel.

According to Entertainment Weekly (EW), Heard is reportedly over the moon to reprise her role as Mera.

"I'm super excited about the amount of fan love and the amount of fan appreciation that ‘Aquaman’ has acquired and that it has garnered so much excitement for Aquaman and Mera that it means we'll be coming back," Heard tells EW.

Marriage made of nightmares?
"Paid rumors and paid campaigns on social media don't dictate [casting decisions] because they have no basis in reality. Only the fans actually made ‘Aquaman’ and ‘Aquaman 2’ happen. I'm excited to get started next year."

‘Aquaman 2’ may have been confirmed, but there's been no word yet on when it will go into production or who will be in the suquel.

Well, the future is definitely uncertain, so you’ll never know if Heard will actually be in ‘Aquaman 2’ or not.
