A new historical film about Malaysia’s legendary warrior Tun Perak is in the works.

We already know that it will be an epic movie judging by the producer's wishlist for a cameo appearance.

An epic cameo

That would be an epic cameo.
According to New Straits Times, the producer of the Tun Perak biopic, Datin Seri Nora Shamsuddin, has one very big name in mind when it comes to cameo appearances: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Nora told the news portal that she's a huge fan of the 55-year-old actor, and his role as an ambassador for Melaka makes him the perfect choice for the cameo role.

And the role she has in mind for Shah Rukh Khan? A trader.

"Datuk Shah Rukh Khan is one of my favourite actors, and he's got a huge following in Malaysia. Since he's been Melaka's ambassador from Bollywood for sometime, it will be great to have him star in my new Tun Perak film, as an Indian nobleman trader," she was quoted as saying.

Tun Perak was the fifth and most famous bendahara.
Speaking about the movie, Nora said she has been doing extensive research on Tun Perak by reading the literary epic 'Sejarah Melayu', as well as visiting museums.

She also plans to get the advice of historians who are experts in the Melaka Sultanate.

She added that the movie, produced in collaboration with Pertubuhan Harmoni Masyarakat Melayu Perak chairman Datuk Rosli Yang Daniyan, will use state-of-the-art computer generated images (CGI).

Nora said she will be further discussing the film and the role of Shah Rukh Khan with Melaka Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Tun Mohd Ali Rustam and aims to have the film screened in cinemas with a special documentary about it on National Geographic.

The biopic sure sounds amazing. Can't wait for it to be released.
