If you haven’t heard of Family Feud or their current host, you might have been living under a rock. The game show has been around for decades and host Steve Harvey propelled the show’s popularity in the 21st century.

Good news for Malaysian fans because Astro has partnered with Fremantle to bring a local adaptation of the popular family game show.

The show will be produced in three versions: Bahasa Melayu, Tamil and English, and will be hosted by three different local personalities.

For Bahasa Melayu, fans will be delighted to know that Raja Lawak-born Nabil Ahmad will take on the host’s mantle. The comedian has more than a decade of experience hosting shows like Meletop and Gegar Vaganza; so you’re rest assured he’ll be extra creative with his jokes on this show.

For Tamil, Dr. J Ram, known to be the jack of all trades and master of all will be your host for a number of episodes this season. Dr J is a seasoned radio announced, actor, singer and all-round entertainer in the Tamil scene.

Finally, your favourite English comedian Douglas Lim will be your host for the English version. The former radio announcer appeared alongside Nabil Ahmad and Dr J Ram in a recent media version of the Family Feud game, giving us a taste of the fun.

In addition to the regular version of the show, there will be a celebrity edition featuring famous personalities together with your regular family edition. The winnings from the celebrity edition will be donated to selected charities.

‘Family Feud Malaysia’ in Bahasa Malaysia will premiere on Astro Ria (Ch 104) on March 27, 2023 and will air every Monday and Tuesday at 11pm. The Tamil and English versions will premiere on Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202) and PRIMEtime (Ch 704) in Malay and September 2023, respectively.

Astro customers can also stream the show on demand via the Astro Box and on Astro GO. Premium Pack 1 subscribers can enjoy a great deal of only RM99.99 per month for the first six months. To watch ‘Family Feud Malaysia’, you can WhatsApp “GET ASTRO” to 03-9543 3838.
