Late last year, rapper Joe Flizzow surprised fans when he got engaged to artist Marini Ramlan.

The wedding was supposed to take place in early April of 2020 and was one of the most anticipated weddings of the year, but had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Finally tied the knot

After what seems like the wait of an eternity, 26 June 2020 eventually became a significant day for the couple as both of them tied the knot in a small akad nikah (solemnisation) ceremony at the couple's residence.



Both Joe and Marini, who's also fondly known as Nini, were both clad in white tenun outfits by Tenun Pahang Diraja and the bride’s hair and makeup were done by Ckay Liow and Khir Khalid respectively.

In an interview with Harian Metro, Joe, also known as Mr President, says that he’s thankful he’s able to tie the knot although in a smaller setting.

“Even though the ceremony was small and intimate, it meant a lot to us. I would like to thank those who have been praying for my happiness. I can’t wait to meet my fans once the pandemic ends,” he said.


Joe, whose real name is Johan Bin Ishak, has known Marini for over 15 years.

Congrats Mr President, now you have your own Mrs President. May you be blessed with happiness that lasts an eternity.
