What will we ever do without Eggsy?

Ever since 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' premiered back in 2014, moviegoers have fallen in love with the franchise and its star Taron Egerton, who plays outcast-turned-superspy Eggsy.

Who could blame them when the movies have epic fight scenes like this one:

Fun fact: this scene took one shot to film.
And if you, like us, are patiently waiting for the release of 'Kingsman 3', we have some bad news: your favourite boy Eggsy won't be in it.

Taron has confirmed to Yahoo! Movies UK that he would be sitting this instalment out.

“I don’t know how hot off the press this is, and I think I’m allowed to say it, but I’m not in the next 'Kingsman' movie,” he said during an interview with the website.

However, he did give 'Kingsman' fans some hope though, when he said it won't be the last time we'll see Eggsy.

“That doesn’t mean I won’t be in 'Kingsman' ever again. I was with (director) Matthew Vaughn as little as a few days ago, we’re still very much in business together, but his next journey in that world doesn’t involve me.”

We need more of this.
However, before you decide to send an angry e-mail to the movie studio and the director for keeping Eggsy out of the next 'Kingsman' film - reportedly titled 'Kingsman: The Great Game', the creator of the movie franchise Mark Millar said Eggsy won't be in the movie for a reason.

Millar clarified on Twitter that the next instalment is a prequel to the other two films, and it has jumped ahead of 'Kingsman 3' on the production schedule.
According to rumours, 'The Great Game' will take place during World War I, back to when the Kingsman organisation just started its spying business.

Once they are done with that movie, Millar revealed that it will be business as usual for Egerton when he returns for the real 'Kingsman 3'.

Phew, we got anxious for a moment there. Please don't do that to us again, Team Kingsman!
