Looks like Henry Cavill may be trading his spandex suits and capes for a more dapper suit while driving around in an Aston Martin.

Ever since Daniel Craig announced that the upcoming James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’ will be his last role as Agent 007, rumours have been rife on who will be worthy enough to replace him as the next Bond.

Well amidst all the rumours, including a report that Tom Hardy may be the next successor, comes another rumour about the buff Henry Cavill expressing interest in playing the iconic role.

Vying for the role

In an interview with GQ, the ‘Enola Holmes’ star says it’s a definitely a yes for him if an offer comes for him.

It's a YES from us.
“If [Bond producer Barbara Broccoli] and [co-producer Michael G. Wilson] were interested in that, I would absolutely jump at the opportunity,” Cavill said.

“At this stage, it’s all up in the air. We’ll see what happens. But yes, I would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting.”

Interestingly, the 37-year-old actor actually lost the role to Craig 15 years ago, but he admitted that he wasn’t prepared for it at that time.

Thank you for your service, 007.
Well, fast forward to 2020, perhaps Cavill has now blossomed into the Bond we’ve all been waiting for?

Considering his impressive resume as some of the most titular characters in pop culture, it’s time for those producers to give him a call.
