Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' Is Probably Going To Be The Biggest Album Of The Year

Taylor Swift released her highly anticipated ‘Reputation’ album just under two weeks ago and it is already well on its way to becoming the biggest album of the year.
The singer who made popular hits about her long list of popular ex-boyfriends (even though she had never made direct references) returned with a darker alter ego after telling the world that “the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now”.
It doesn’t matter whether you are part of the ‘Swiftie’ fandom or not, you got to admit that this “new Taylor” is really catching the waves.
According to Reuters, the latest ‘Reputation’ album sold 1.2 million copies in its first week and debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart.
Not only that, the album surpassed the one-million mark in just four days!
The new Taylor ain't too shabby.
This makes Tay Tay’s new baby the biggest album debut of 2017, beating out album releases by other popular artists like Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Sam Smith and Niall Horan.
What’s more, this further proves that her strategy of keeping away from streaming platforms like Spotify actually paid off.
Although Taylor has decided to return to Spotify after a three-year breakup, you can only listen to three singles from her latest album for now, "Ready For It?", "Look What You Made Me Do" and "Gorgeous".
Not to mention, the music video for the album’s first single "Look What You Made Me Do" also became the biggest YouTube debut ever with over 43 million views in just 24 hours!
So there’s no denying, Tay Tay is back.
