If you don’t live under a rock, then you must have at least seen the poster or the trailer of Tiga Janda Melawan Dunia, a quirky new local comedy flick that’s set to take Malaysia’s cinemas by storm.

Starring Khatijah Tan, Normah Damanhuri, Raja Azura, Norman Hakim and the cheeky Rosnah Mat Aris, Tiga Janda Melawan Dunia showcases the story of three widows in search of innovative means to afford tickets for a grand farewell concert - and that pursuit led them to an interesting predicament.

The word on the film was building immensely on social media platforms as most critics, reviewers and industry players gave the film a collective thumbs up, claiming it as a fresh entry to Malaysian cinema in the 2020s.

To add to the hype, local cinema brand GSC calls upon Malaysian cinema fans to give Tiga Janda Melawan Dunia a watch as they’re convinced that the audience will be absolutely thrilled.

Golden Screen Cinemas also guaranteed that your tickets will be refunded if you’re not entertained by the movie. Walao!

However, this offer only stands for showtimes from 20th to 22nd May, so make sure you book your seats for these dates.

The genre bending film was directed by Hyrul Anuar, a known name in the film production scene together with Mutimedia Entertainment, Directors Think Tank, Astro and Six Fun Media.

In his own words, Hyrul claimed that the movie is ‘Breaking Bad meets Ozark with all the comedy of Hantu Kak Limah starring 3 of Malaysia’s Golden Girls!’.

Stay tuned for our review on the film soon!
