Michael B Jordan sealed his platinum celebrity status after playing the iconic villain Eric Killmonger in one of Marvel’s most successful films to date – ‘Black Panther’.

Although his character is no longer alive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (for now), it seems that his journey in the superhero world is far from the end.

According to Variety, DC Films is currently in talks with Michael B Jordan to take on the role of Superman.

Apparently, it was Jordan who pitched the concept of a new Man of Steel to Warner Bros. earlier this year.

From supervillain to superhero.
But before you get all excited over the prospect of seeing him becoming the first black Superman on the silver screen, the project will most likely to happen in 2023 due to Jordan’s packed schedule and Warner’s upcoming list of superhero films.

Not only that, there’s no script or director in sight for the reboot.

While waiting for Jordan’s version of Superman to come to life, fans can anticipate other upcoming superhero films planned by DC: ‘Green Lanterns Corps’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Aquaman 2’, ‘The Trench’, and ‘Batgirl’.

So, do you think the ‘Creed’ star will make a great Superman?
