What Starts As A Football Match Turns Into A Heartfelt Family Reunion In Astro’s Latest Deepavali TVC

In conjunction with Deepavali 2026, Astro has unveiled a festive short film titled Ondrinainthu Kondaduvom, which translates to "Let Us Come Together and Celebrate."

The TVC follows two neighbouring communities that stopped organising their annual football tournament after a misunderstanding drove them apart 30 years ago. What was once a much-anticipated event became nothing more than a distant memory, leaving a longstanding rift between the two sides.

Three decades later, however, both communities decide it's finally time to bring the tradition back. Their reunion sets the stage for a lively football showdown filled with friendly competition, humorous moments and plenty of nostalgia.

But as the match unfolds, an unexpected revelation changes everything. Despite leading rival teams, the key figures on each side are actually siblings. The story takes an emotional turn when their mother unexpectedly appears during the game, forcing the family to confront old wounds and opening the door to reconciliation.

Through its heartwarming narrative, Ondrinainthu Kondaduvom explores themes of rivalry, forgiveness and family, reminding viewers that some bonds are worth more than any victory on the scoreboard.

The festive film stars Evarani, Anthony Ferreolus, CS Murugan, Gisnervern, Kuhan, Kathiravan, Rehyan, Sandra, Kamalavathy, Sanjay and Sri Nissha.
