Animal welfare activists often lambast the purchasing of animals at pet stores and encourage adoption as the better alternative to owning a pet. These adoption centres are usually not for profit and run on the generosity of its volunteers and patrons so attracting people to adopt can be difficult. But not when you have a video so viral.
