#GempakSpot: The 'Joker' Stairs In New York Is Now A Legit Tourist Attraction
When one mentions New York, a couple of world-famous landmarks come to mind: the Times Square, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the Stark Tower, etc.
Now, we might have to add a new landmark into the list: a staircase located in Bronx.
This particular set of staircase, in case you're wondering:
According to a report by CNN, the staircase connecting the Shakespeare and Anderson avenues at West 167th Street has become a popular tourist destination ever since the movie 'Joker' hit cinemas earlier this month.
In the movie, the Joker, played by the super talented Joaquin Phoenix, dances down the staircase with Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part 2" playing in the background.
The spot has become so crowded, in fact, US comedian Desus Nice jokingly suggested that Bronx residents should charge tourists a fee for visiting the staircase.
