HBO GAME OF THRONES
Was The Starbucks Cup Cameo In 'Game Of Thrones' On Purpose Or A Mistake?
In the most recent episode of 'Game of Thrones', viewers were looking forward to the aftermath following the long and dark battle at Winterfell.
There were many shocking twists and turns that came after the victorious win of the living over the dead. But the biggest surprise came in the form of an object that no one thought would exist in Westeros.
A Starbucks coffee cup.

During a scene where everybody was celebrating over a feast, the familiar cup was spotted on the grand table of the nobles, in between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.
As with everything else, the people of the internet went crazy dissecting and scrutinizing this occurence on social media because if one of the most expensive shows on televison could make a mistake like that, we're good.

Now, HBO has officially come out to confirm that the little "cameo" was indeed a mistake.
The show's executive producer Bernie Caulfield admitted the error in an interview, although such blunders rarely ever happens on set because everyone on set, including the props crew and decorators are always in it "1,000 per cent".
He went on to add that "if that’s the worst thing they’re finding, then we’re in good shape".
On top of that, HBO also added in a statement saying, "the latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea".
Of course, the Mother of Dragons would have herbal tea.
Among everyone who had something to take away from this, we don't have to guess who had the most fun.

However, HBO has yet to clarify whether the company will be doing some movie magic on the episode again to remove the misplaced cup.
Nevertheless, whether it stays or not, people will probably be talking about it for a long, long time.
We wonder if anyone's going to get in trouble for this...
