6 Upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies After ‘Avengers: Endgame’
Warning: Potential spoilers for ‘Avengers: Endgame’ ahead.
Now that we’re in the ‘Endgame’ (literally), many of us are finding it hard to bid goodbye to our favourite characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and of course, the ‘Avengers’ franchise.
Fans may start questioning their purpose in life after watching ‘Avengers: Endgame’ – what will we do now that our favourite heroes are either retired or no longer around? What will we look forward to in the future? Is there a glimpse of hope that the Avengers will eventually re-assemble?
Have you watched 'Avengers: Endgame'? Well, the future is uncertain, but what’s certain is where there is a gold mine, Marvel will keep on digging it.
Which means that yes, there will be more MCU movies featuring some of your beloved characters coming soon. Here are some of them:

#1 ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’

Fans will be seeing Peter Parker once again and this time, he’s on a summer vacation trip to Europe. He’ll face a classic Spider-Man villain, Mysterio. And if you’re wondering if Iron Man will make an appearance in the movie since he played a pivotal role in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, you should know the answer by now.
‘Endgame’ director Joe Russo explains that this sequel takes place five years after Thanos’ snap.
Starring: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Samuel L. Jackson, Jake Gyllenhaal Premieres: 4 July 2019

#2 ‘Black Widow’

This is going to be one heck of a badass movie. Almost every original Avenger has their own standalone movie, so why can’t Black Widow have one? Marvel has already hired someone to write and direct the movie and Scarlett Johansson has confirmed that she’s on board this upcoming project. No news yet on what the storyline will be like for Natasha Romanoff but it may explore who she was prior to joining the Avengers. The movie is expected to start production in June 2019.
Premieres: 2020 (TBC)

#3 ‘The Eternals’

Meet your new legion of MCU superheroes. You may wonder who on Earth ‘The Eternals’ are, but it seems like they could be the new Avengers. It was reported that Angelina Jolie has been offered a role in the upcoming Marvel movie. ‘The Eternals’ are beautiful god-like beings aged over a million years old and were created by the Celestials as a force for good. In the comic book, the mystical gang is always fighting against the Deviants. Sounds so magical and interesting, huh?
Premieres: 2020 (TBC)

#4 ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’

Can't wait! The gang will be back once again, and for the third installment, we feel that a new member may potentially be joining them, as well as a few other new characters (if you can recall the post-credit scene in 'GOTG 2' which featured Michelle Yeoh and Sylvester Stallone). But ever since the big hoo-ha with James Gunn, there’s no clear indication when the movie will be released.
Premieres: TBA

#5 ‘Black Panther 2’

Wakanda Forever! Everybody loves shouting “Wakanda forever!” and in a few years’ time, you’ll be able to do that again and also see Wakanda in all its might and glory. President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has confirmed that there will be a ‘Black Panther’ sequel and Ryan Coogler will return to direct it. Hopefully Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letita Wright, and the rest will also return and reprise their roles.
Premieres: TBA

#6 ‘Doctor Strange 2’

The man who gave away the biggest hint in 'Infinity War'. Will Doctor Strange return and bargain with Dormamu once again? Well, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed back in December 2018 that Scott Derrickson will return to direct a ‘Doctor Strange’ sequel and the movie’s leads – Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, and Rachel McAdams - will also reprise their roles. No word yet on what the sequel will focus on yet but apparently, Marvel already has a concept and villain in mind.
Premieres: May 2021 (TBC)
Well, it’s a long way to go for the fourth phase of the MCU but at least we’ll have two months until ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ premieres!
