The city’s biggest tech and gadget enthusiast is back with another episode of ‘Tech Talks with Adam Lobo’.

This week, he reviews two smartphones that everyone is talking about, the Oppo F11 Pro and Samsung S10+.

Let's begin with the Oppo F11 Pro.

What is a tech or gadget review without an unboxing session?

We always admire Adam's effort in decorating his space for unboxing and making it unique to each device.

The F11 Pro has a back made of plastic but looks glossy like glass, which he finds a trend among mid-range phones nowadays.

The device's 6.5-inch display that comes without a notch is almost unheard of these days. So, this makes viewing videos very nice and refreshing.

Now, the phone's camera takes great photos during the day with just the right amount of saturation and sharpness.

The portrait mode looks great even on images with complicated shapes and details.

In terms of the night scenes, the camera's ultra night mode captures a bunch of photos in different exposure to produce the best image.

That's helpful!

Another unique feature of the F11 Pro is in its front camera. In case you were wondering where it is located, it actually pops out only when you turn it on.

The front camera is also used to recognise your face to unlock your phone, other than using the regular fingerprint sensor.

This smartphone has a decent battery life in a 4,000mAh size. Although Adam found that the first 20 per cent reduced quite quickly during the first half of the day, he was able to pass the rest of his day with decent battery usage.

Overall, he thinks that the Oppo F11 Pro is a good mid-range phone that comes in great value for the price you pay.

Next, let's hear Adam's thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy S10+, the one we've all been waiting for.

He paid extra care during the unboxing session because the experience was slightly different compared to previous Samsung devices.

On the glass back with a ceramic finish, there is no fingerprint sensor. Instead, Samsung introduced the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is located within the screen.

Adam found that this sensor worked the fastest among all other phones so far, even with wet fingers.

The phone's 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a high 93 per cent screen-to-body ratio and 1440x3040 resolution made watching videos a wonderful experience.

As for the camera, the photos produced were the best Adam has ever seen on any Samsung device. He noticed a big difference in quality due to the software upgrade and improved scene optimization.

Another good thing to note is the Galaxy S10+'s video capturing capabilities. It can record 4K videos up to 60fps.

The same goes for the front camera, which makes it great for recording videos for Instagram Stories and vlogs.

Finally, Adam is amazed by the big 4,100mAh battery that can somehow fit into a small form factor of this phone. So, we don't have to say much about the battery life here, do we?

It can even charge other phones or devices that have wireless charging capabilities with the Power Share feature.

In a nutshell, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ has set the highest bar for many phones available in the market today. Adam called it "the phone to be".
