This hotel isn’t fully devoted to the award-winning book series penned by J.K Rowling, but they have a themed room called the “Wizard Chambers” you can stay at. And you can be rest assured that the room isn’t some dodgy cupboard under the stairs but a full-fledged room of what looks like Harry’s dormitory in Hogwarts. The details of the room are truly impeccable, you’ll instantly feel like you’re on the set of the movie series. Everything looks almost akin to the real deal, now all you need to do is imagine the actual Harry Potter to turn up and greet you at the door.
Just a heads up though, the rate for the room will set you back up to RM1,300 per night, but for any true-blue Harry Potter fan, the price tag is worth materializing their childhood dreams. Plus, you’ll get a lifetime’s worth of bragging rights that’ll make other Potterheads green with envy.

Ever wondered how Hobbits stayed in those cute homes built within the hills? Well, your curiousity may just be rewarded, as some folks have built an actual house based on the ones you’ve seen in Lord of The Rings or The Hobbit movie series! Sure, there’s Hobbiton in New Zealand (which you can only visit, not stay), but this enchanted abode will give you an experience like no other. Did we even mention the hotel is located at one of the most beautiful settings on Earth? The Shire is nestled in the colourful forested foothills of Cabinet Mountains.
Psst, don’t forget to bring some prosthetic hair along to slap on your hands and feet. Since you’re going to stay at a Hobbit’s house, might as well make the effort to be one!

Quick Robin, to the Batcave! This motel room in Taiwan is probably the most detailed movie-themed room we’ve ever seen before. The room looks like it’s in an actual bat cave, complete with a bat signal carved into its ceiling and surrounded by dark, mysterious walls and décor. If that’s not enough there’s even a Batman logo-shaped TV placed directly in front of an open bath tub. The crazy part about the room is there’s a bat mobile placed next to the sofa, so you can pretend to be the Caped Crusader on its way to your next mission at any given time.
But crazy may just be an understatement to this room because, the guys at Eden Motel has decided to do something far more insane – charge the room by the hour. Yeap, you read that right. According to reviews, it’s worth the money. However, a butler by the name of Alfred Pennyworth will not be included in the booking, though.
Where: Eden Motel, Taiwan
Price per hour: Starts from NTD3,500 (RM506.53)

For once, you’ll be glad to stay at a hotel which has temperatures between -3°C and -5°C and utter this infamous line – “the cold never bothered me anyway.” Hotel de Glace in Canada is a majestic ice hotel (yes, it’s literally made of ice) that’ll blow you away at first sight. The delicate and intricate details of the room will instantly transport you to another world. And did you know that this very hotel was used as an inspiration for Elsa’s ice castle in Frozen?
Back in 2014, the hotel converted a suite dedicated to the movie complete with ice-carved characters from the movie. Although the themed suite is no longer available at the hotel, you can still stay at this wintry marvel and live the life of Princess Elsa for a day. After all, who wouldn’t like the idea of being an ice princess with magical powers?

Nothing is despicable about this room, it’s quite the opposite; it’s delightful! If you’re a fan of the Despicable Me movie series, you’d know by now how cool Edith, Margo, and Agnes’ bedroom looks like all thanks to their loving supervillain father, Gru. Not only kids envied how amazing it must felt like to sleep in a jet surrounded by Minions, we adults secretly wished we had a bed like that!
The Despicable Me Kid’s Suite is located in Lowes Portofino Bay Hotel nearby Universal Studios Orlando. There’s another room meant for adults attached to this room, but maybe you can make a trade with your kids and sleep in the jet for the night, that is, if you can fit in it.

Fall down the rabbit hole into the magical world of Alice in Wonderland at Wonderland House. This hotel isn’t any hotel, it’s actually a house fully dedicated to the Alice in Wonderland theme. The house has five floors, six rooms, and can accommodate up to 24 people. So, you’ll definitely have ample space to throw a tea party or invite a bunch of Mad Hatters to stay for the night with you.
The details of the house will swoon you over – an array of clocks decorating the walls, classic English tea sets, mirrors everywhere, and a spectacular seaside view. Sadly, there are no actual rabbit holes in the house. You can only rent the whole property, so it’s best to bring the whole wonderland clan with you to have a jolly good time there. If you’re travelling in a smaller group, you can alternatively stay at their little sister, the Looking Glass Cottage which is equally stunning.
