HIGHLIGHT
Casting Call for Lee Chong Wei's Movie Begins in March
Yes, Datuk Lee Chong Wei will be memorialised with a movie depicting his rise from bench warmer to Malaysian badminton legend and you can be a part of this momentous production. The movie is looking to fill seven roles with four of them being males, two females, and one actor to play the lead role of Lee Chong Wei.

Based on the casting call, it's easy to guess that the film will follow Lee's early badminton days up to the peak of his career in his 20s. The female badminton player is likely his wife. Again, this is 100% speculation so don't quote us on that. If you're a young badminton player with a penchant for dramatics go to these locations below and audition.
Auditions are going to be held in three locations:
Permata Sports Complex, Pulau Pinang
Sunday, 5 March 2017 at 11am to 3pm
C&Y Sport Badminton Centre, Johor Bahru
Saturday, 11 March 2017 at 11am to 3pm
Pioneer Sport @ Sunsuria Avenue, Kota Damansara
Sunday, 18 March 2017 at 11am to 3pm
The film is helmed by Teng Bee, who is responsible for two triad movies before this: Kepong Gangster 1 and 2. Both movies were relatively well received here in Malaysia but didn't reach the heights of The Journey or Ola-Bola.
