Remember the 1997 slasher film ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ which starred the heartthrobs of the 90s such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Freddie Prinze Jr.?

The movie became a pop culture phenomenon and inspired many “…. what you did last summer” spin-offs all over the world (including Malaysia).

It has been 22 years since the film debuted and it seems like it’ll soon return, but on the small screen instead.

According to Deadline, ‘The Conjuring’ director will be directing the reboot of ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ TV series for Amazon.

Do you still remember this movie?
The new project has been labelled under Amazon’s YA horror series and ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ co-writer Shay Hatten is on board to write the TV series script.

No further details have been revealed yet, so we have no idea what the storyline will be like or who will be casted in the TV reboot.

Well, we do know that the ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ remake will probably get a darker, sinister treatment from the acclaimed director who's famous for his 'The Conjuring' movies.

But if there’s one thing we fans are looking forward to is a cameo or two featuring the original cast members.

Please make it happen, James!
