MCO: National Astronaut Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Now A Delivery Boy
Whenever the name Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor crops up, Malaysians will instantly recognise him for being the first ever Malaysian to go to space in 2007.
You may know him as a space man, but did you know that he’s also a restaurant owner-turned-delivery boy during the Movement Control Order?
Doing his part to help out
On his Instagram account, Dr Sheikh Muszaphar shared a photo of him on a motorbike wearing a food delivery bag in front of Restaurant Rebung. The 47-year-old shared the story of how he got into the F&B business and the experiences he had to go through to sustain it.
“Not many knew that I co-own Rebung Restaurant with Chef Ismail way back since 2003 and it has bloomed ever since.”
“I remembered going to Pasar Borong Selayang at 0400 am during those days buying fresh seafood everyday for the past 6 months during our start up. I remembered sending Lemang & Rendang & Dodol in the wee hours of morning Raya for the past two years. Those were the days.”
The spaceman, who says that he’s passionate about food, shared that his restaurant recently reopened during the MCO and that he’s doing his part to help out too.
“We started opening again last week during this MCO and I personally put my feet on the ground to deliver food.”

Some cheeky commenters also asked if they could request a specific delivery guy if they placed their order.
Perhaps you can try your luck by placing an order and you’ll never know if a national hero might just turn up on your doorstep.
