Disney’s live-action remake of the classic animated film ‘The Lion King’ recently premiered and received rave reviews from critics so far.

Some of them were perhaps too excited that it landed them in hot water recently.
This was the case with Neelofa.
The acclaimed entrepreneur recently posted a series of Instagram stories on her account, which showed snippets from the film ‘The Lion King’ from the cinema she was watching in.
Lofa getting called out. Dissatisfied with her actions, some fans took to social media to call her out.
“So, no one is going to say anything about Neelofa recording The Lion King and posted it on her Insta Story? Or is it because she is a celebrity she can whatever she wants?” Megat Aliff wrote on her Instagram. The backlash on Twitter got the attention of several cinemas operators such as TGV Cinemas and GSC. The matter has also been escalated to Walt Disney Malaysia, the distributor of the movie.
A few hours after the incident, Neelofa deleted her Instagram Stories featuring ‘The Lion King’ scenes and issued an apology via her Twitter account. No matter who you are, it is a crime to record in the cinema and upload it even though it’s only a 10-second clip.
