Boy, this is some world-class planning.
Over the long weekend, Prince William and his wife, Duchess Kate Middleton, announced that they are expecting their third child.According to UK website The Mirror, the announcement came just as their oldest child, Prince George, was about to start school.
Prince George is four, while Princess Charlotte is two.
"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
"The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news," read the official statement from Kensington Palace.
While everyone -- the public included -- are super excited about the royal pregnancy, some clever football fans came up with an interesting theory about the timing of Duchess Kate's pregnancy.
On Sunday, this tweet went viral on social media:
If you get your missus pregnant in the next week or so you'll get 2 weeks off for paternity when the World Cup is on. Think ahead lads ????

If everything goes according to plan, Duchess Kate will give birth during next year's World Cup, which will be held in Russia in June.
And if everything goes according to plan, Prince William - who is also the President of the English Football Association - will get two weeks of paternity leave to enjoy the competition.
Of course, Netizens being Netizens, they did not let this coincidence slide:

Prince William has clearly crunched the numbers and worked out he's gonna be on paternity leave when the World Cup starts next year. Genius.

We're pretty sure Prince William did not plan this - and does he really need paternity leave? - but if he did, good job!
