Moore was the longest-serving 007 agent after replacing Sean Connery in the franchise.

His charming wit will be missed.
He was also well-known for taking the character in a very different and more humorous direction compared to the one created by author Ian Fleming.

Of course, Bond wasn’t the only word in Moore’s report card. He also played a number of roles in both film and television, including The Cannonball Run, Sherlock Holmes in New York and The Saint.

Besides acting, Moore was passionate about his humanitarian work as well after being introduced to UNICEF by the late Audrey Hepburn and appointed as a goodwill ambassador in 1991.

So let’s look back at some of the best moments the late actor bedazzled us with his charm as Bond, James Bond:

Back before Fast And Furious stole the show with insane, totally unreal car stunts, Roger Moore (or his stuntman) pulled off this crazy corkscrew car stunt.

2) Facing off against crocodiles in Live And Let Die

To be honest, we think only Roger Moore has the cojones big enough to face off against a bunch of hungry crocodiles.

Getting chased by a group of thugs while careening off a cliff? No problem; just fly off the cliff and glide your way to safety. Well played, Mr. Moore!

We're pretty sure the happy couple didn't mind Mr. Moore gate crashing their wedding party, in style no less.

5) Introducing us to the submarine car in The Spy Who Loved Me

"Can you swim," Bond asks Anya Amasova as his Lotus turns into a friggin' submarine! You win, Mr. Moore.
