Yuna's making Malaysia proud once again!

There's really nothing the 30-year-old singer can't do, as she was just nominated for a BET Award.

With the nomination, Yuna became the first ever Malaysian to be nominated for the awards show organised by the Black Entertainment Television network to recognise the contributions by African American individuals in the entertainment industry.

According to a report by ABC News, she is in the running for the BET Centric Award, whose previous winners include the queen of R&B Beyoncé and popular crooner The Weeknd.

Previously, the BET Centric Award was awarded to neo soul and/or traditional R&B artists, but since 2013, it has been used to recognise specific songs.

Her infectious single "Crush" - a duet with R&B superstar Usher - will reportedly be going up against the likes of Mary J. Blige's "Thick Of It", Solange's "Cranes In The Sky" and Fantasia's "Sleeping With The One I Love", just to name a few.

The BET Awards will be taking place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on 25 June, so let's all cross our fingers that Yuna will bring home the gold.
