This 120-Year-Old Malaysian Woman Dishes Out Her Secret To Living A Long Life
As humans, we desire to live a long life, or at least long enough to grow old and see our grandkids grow right before our eyes. But for some people, they definitely got more than what they bargained for.
Meet Minah Deris, a 120-year-old wonder woman from Kelantan.

In case you’re wondering if she’s the oldest woman in Malaysia, well she’s unfortunately not (yet). The oldest woman to ever be recorded in Malaysia was Puan Ahmad, aged 121 from Kokdiang, Kedah. She unfortunately passed away last month.
Apparently, Minah Deris’s ability at her age will put young people like us to shame. She’s still able to climb over 100 flight of stairs almost every day to reach the third floor of her house in Gua Musang. Her house is located in a four-storey flat which isn’t equipped with an elevator.
Unlike her, we youngsters will never take the stairs and will use the lift to go up just one floor. Don’t lie lah, guys.
According to the daily, Minah frequently leaves her house to buy basic items at the grocery store. She proves that her age isn’t an issue when it comes to shopping. Or maybe it’s just a wonderful gift God has blessed every woman regardless of their age. *winks*
So, what is her secret to living a long, ‘youthful’ life?
The Kelantanese woman shares that she has stopped eating greasy food since her teenage days.
“I love to eat rice, grilled fish, budu (a Kelantanese condiment) and ulam-ulaman (herbs),” Minah told Kosmo!
Walaoweh, can you imagine quitting fried chicken, nasi goreng, and most importantly, pizza?! Just thinking about it makes our hearts (and stomachs) sad.

No wonder people call her wonder woman. Not only does she have bones of steel, she also has a great amount of discipline when it comes to her diet. Nothing can tempt this woman!
Minah was born in Pasir Mas in 1897 before moving to Gua Musang. She has four children and over 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
So, do you think you’ll be able to resist the temptation of greasy food our country has to offer in order to live a long life?
