4 Spectacular Places in Asia You Should Visit During Autumn for Instagram-Worthy Photos

It’s that time of the year again, when trees and flowers that were once vivid in colour are turning into gold and rusty hues, pools of leaves are filling up the sidewalks, and everyone starts opting for woolen coats in exchange for tank tops to keep them warm from the chilly wind. As we bid goodbye to summer, autumn welcomes us with a fresh breath of crisp air. It’s also the time when a lot of people choose to travel abroad – especially those who live in a country that’ll never get the chance to experience the four seasons due to their geographical location (like us Malaysians, lah) – because of its pleasant weather.

If you’ve ever envied your mat salleh or lucky Asian friends taking Instagram-worthy pictures frolicking around a park surrounded by beautiful autumn leaves and trees, maybe it’s time you go on that trip you’ve been dying to go for so long. Not sure where to start? Here are four drop-dead gorgeous places you should visit during autumn.

#1 Furano, Japan

Furano is located in the Hokkaido prefecture, a place where picturesque lavender fields adorn its landscape, complimenting the breathtaking view of Mount Tokachi. If you think lavender fields aren’t enough to make you jump in joy, wait till you check out their poppy, lily, and sunflower fields. You can also choose to explore their scenic landscapes via a free boat ride around their crystal clear lake.

#2 Niseko, Japan

Apart from Furano, Niseko is another popular tourist destination spot during Autumn. It is also located in the Hokkaido prefecture. There are aplenty of onsen (hot spring) spots you can visit in Niseko while admiring the beautiful amber fields surrounding Mount Yotei. The mountain is also known as the “Mount Fuji of Hokkaido”.

#3 Seoul, Korea

Seoul is not only the capital of South Korea, it’s also probably the heart of the country as well. You can find almost everything in Seoul – from modern skyscrapers to the historical Gyeongbokgung Palace. During autumn, tourists often visit Hyeonchoongsa Tree-Lined Street in Cheonan-Si to enjoy the 2km stretch of nearly-skeletal crimson trees. No cars are allowed on this street, so you can expect your Instagram photography sessions to be smooth and uninterrupted.

#4 Incheon, Korea

Want to be the subject of envy of all your friends and family? Visit Incheon Grand Park, where every picture you take will look as if it’s from a postcard. Be prepared to get lost in time as the park is swarmed with trees and walkways that you can explore. Words don’t do justice to how stunning the place looks like in autumn, just one look at its photo will make you want to take the next flight there.

Autumn will not be here for long, so if you’re already planning to go to these places and looking for accommodation, perhaps you could visit Hotels.com as they are doing a special deal for autumn holidays!
