This 90-Year-Old Grandma Loves Playing Video Games, So They Awarded Her With A Guinness World Record
It’s very common to see teens or youngsters being hooked to video games.
However, could you think of anyone as old as your grandparents, not only being hooked to video games, but being a pro at it too?
Meet Mori Hamako, a 90-year-old grandmother who was recently awarded a Guinness World Record for being the World's Oldest Gaming YouTuber.
According to a report by Mashable SEA, Hamako started her gaming journey after seeing kids around her playing video games some 39 years ago.
"It looked so much fun, and I thought it's not fair if only children played it. I thought life would be more fun if I knew how to play it.
"So I started playing, at first while no one was watching." Hamako said in a video interview by Guinness World Records.
Hamako shared that her favourite game is ‘Grand Theft Auto 5’, simply because it feels like a film.
"It's such a waste if I'm the only one enjoying it. It's like watching a film. I like it the best because it has age restrictions, so children can't play it!” she said.
She also plays and records her games on her PlayStation 4.
According to Guinness World Records, Hamako's first gaming console was a Cassette Vision which was released back in July 1981.
Hamako recently shared the news that she awarded the Guinness World Record on her YouTube channel.
"After living for this long, I feel more than ever that playing games for this long was the right choice. I am truly enjoying my life,” she said in the video.
We wish we would be playing video games too when we are her age!
