AirAsia Female Pilots Are Going To Look So Fly After Naelofar Hijab Becomes Part Of Their Uniform
Actress, host and business mogul Neelofa runs a fashion empire that’s well known to Malaysians – Naelofar Hijab. And her next project with another business giant proves that she’s going nowhere but up.
It was revealed on Thursday that a special collaboration between AirAsia and Naelofar Hijab has resulted with an exclusive hijab catered especially for AirAsia’s Muslim female pilots.
The popular hijab brand has been working closely with several female pilots to create a functional and comfortable headscarf that’ll suit their everyday needs. Naelofar also provided them with prototypes to help test the efficiency of the hijab.
Effective June 2017, only hijab-clad female Muslim pilots from AirAsia and AirAsia X will officially don Naelofar’s hijab during their flight duties.
AirAsia said in a statement released on Thursday that they are also looking into “revamping the hijab design” for their ground staff as well.
Neelofa told Bernama in an interview that the opportunity to redesign the AirAsia hijab was very exciting and special as it gave the company an opportunity to create an exclusive piece for female pilots that was “comfortable, functional, and stylish.”
The tailormade hijab is made of a special white fabric for easy movement and embellished with Naelofar Hijab’s logo in Swarovski crystal.
