Apple 'Kills' 13-inch MacBook Pro with TouchBar at its Scary Fast Event; Hello, 14-inch
The first MacBook Pro with touch bar was released in 2016 and they're even considered to be in Apple's vintage list. Any product that's 5 years or older since its release is on that list and are ineligible for Apple-approved repairs. You can fix it elsewhere, like most of us do without a warranty.
Apple Introduces new M3 line-up of Chips
Along with the murder the discontinuation of the awakward-middle MacBook Pro M2, Apple has introduced a refreshed lineup of MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inches with M3 processors: M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max.
The base MacBook Pro is now a 14-inch Mac that comes with an M3 processor and 8GB of RAM at RM7,499. The out-going MacBook Pro M2s with Touch Bar were priced starting from RM5,699. So going Pro will now cost you an extra RM1,800.
There's a lot of tech jargon to parse when it comes to the M3 Pro and M3 Max, but they bring the maximum amount of CPU cores of a laptop to 16-cores and GPU cores to 40. For reference, the most powerful desktop Apple makes, the Mac Pro, has a M2 Ultra with 24-core CPU and up to 76-core GPU.
The achievement you should take note of is the amount of cores they're able to fit into the impossibly thin MacBook Pros while delivering 22 hours of battery life, no reduced performance when not plugged into the wall, and they claim, the fans will hardly kick up a fuss.

The iMac also offers up to 24GB of unified memory and comes in seven colors for the RM7,299 and RM8,099 versions: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. The base two port model at RM6,299 comes in only 4 colours: blue, green, pink, and silver.
For reference the base M1 model back in 2021 cost RM5,599.
