Who’d knew that a book about money laundering would become one of the best-selling and highly sought-after books in Malaysia this year?

Not only that, it’s not every day you see people queueing up to get a journalist’s autograph.

'Billion Dollar Whale: The Man Who Fooled Wall Street, Hollywood, and the World ' literally flew off the shelves and was sold out everywhere within a few days.

The book gave a very important insight; one that millions of people around the world are itching to know how one man allegedly managed to swindle USD5bil (RM20.7bil) so effortlessly.

Selling like hot cakes!
Well, since it might take some time for our local bookstores to restock the book or post out your pre-order copy, we have some good news for you in the meantime.

Local publishing company ZI Publications Sdn Bhd has obtained the rights to translate the book to Bahasa Melayu and publish it.

The company, owned by former minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, told The Malay Mail that the translation is “done” and they are in the midst of “doing the cover design now”.

About 5 more weeks to go!
The Malay edition is slated for release in November this year.

Some of you may be wondering if the title is going to be “Ikan Paus Billion Dollar”?

Well, that sounds very cringey, but don’t worry; the publisher will retain the original title as it already has a nice ring to it.

So guys, you can start putting the Malay edition on your book collection wish list now!
