If your kids love doodling, especially on the walls of your house, you’d probably scream your lungs out or ground them for making a mess.

However, the parents of Joe Whale, a nine-year-old boy from the UK who kept getting into trouble for doodling during class time, encouraged his creativity by sending him to an after-school art class and a 'part time job' as a restaurant decorator.

Accidental star

Meet the talented young fella.
UK website Metro.co.uk reported that Joe got the gig after his teacher posted his works on Instagram.

After seeing Joe's masterpieces, the restaurant, Number 4, contacted the teacher to ask if the boy could come to the building and decorate the dining room with his drawings.

Of course, he wouldn’t miss the chance!

So, every day after school, his dad Greg Whale would send him to the restaurant so that he could doodle on its wall.

There's no stopping Joe.
"Joe is a really talented little boy, he’s excelling at school, he’s a great footballer and cricketer, but drawing is definitely what he is most passionate about.

"He was in school getting frustrated at the little amount of art he could do so he used to doodle on the table’s whiteboard in class and get into trouble for doodling.

"His mum and I decided to get him into an art class outside of school called Bloom, he’s been there for about six weeks and he loves every minute of it,” Greg was quoted as saying.

Encouraging his passion

The art will stay permanently in the restaurant.
Greg told the news portal that they’re really proud of Joe’s achievement, and the fact that a completely independent business has asked their son to do a professional piece of work for them is "incredible".

Greg also posted Joe’s work on LinkedIn, and it received well over one million views and comments.

So guys, always encourage your kids to do what they love. Who knows they could be the next big thing.

Joe, when you're free, could you decorate our office next?
