I wanted to post about a shelter that is helping out animals and neighbouring animal shelters that have been affected by the wildfires in Northern California. @sonomahumanesociety is a no-kill adoption center in Sonoma County that is offering free medical care for animals that have been hurt in the fires and are collecting tangible donations to support those animals. Nala’s adoption story: I went to the shelter in November 2010. I wasn’t planning on adopting a kitty that day, but then I saw Nala. She looked so small, fragile, and sick. The shelter said she was surrendered by her previous owner. I knew I couldn’t just leave her there. I adopted her, got her medical attention and we settled into our home.
