Christmas has always been deemed as the most magical time of the year. Celebrations vary from full throttle partying to quiet reflection. Whatever form it may take, the tradition of giving does not change, be it the giving of gifts, time or presence. If the events of the past year have taught us anything it is the importance of sharing and mutual support.

So, this Christmas, Dignity for Children Foundation (Dignity) invites you to reach out and help others to celebrate Christmas with dignity and self-respect.

The Sentul-based NGO has come up with its Box of Joy and Family Christmas meal to help its students from the B40 and migrant communities in the area to celebrate the festive season.

Meals, snacks or both?

Fellow Malaysians can opt to purchase a Christmas meal for a family of four for just RM79.90. The meal consists of a whole roast chicken and four portions of rice. Your meal donation will be delivered to the families directly by eat X dignity, a social enterprise of Dignity.

Dignity aims to bless 150 students and their families with its Christmas meals this season. To donate a meal, please log on to this website. But, if donating a meal is not your cup of tea, you can opt to buy Dignity’s Box of Joy.

Dignity offers two options – a two-cookie jar box from RM70 or four-cookie jar box for RM145, excluding delivery fee. For every jar purchased, RM5 will be channeled towards Dignity’s Education Fund to empower a child in need.

The four flavours of cookies available are Classic Shortbread, Chocolate Almond Bites, Matcha with White Chocolate and Cranberry Butter Cookies. Box of Joy orders can be made now through Dignity’s website using these links for two-jar cookies and four-jar cookies. Custom or bulk orders can also be made by dropping a WhatsApp message to +60 10 321 4049 (bake X Dignity).

Beautifully crafted gifts are available too

For those who still prefer the traditional gifting route, Dignity also offer other gifts as part of their Christmas Gift Series.

These include in-house Batik cushion covers, dining sets, drawstring pouches, fabric mask keepers, teak phone holders and kids’ drawing notebooks. All sales and proceeds will go towards giving more children the opportunity to receive better quality education at Dignity.
