We may laugh at all the 'Asian parents' jokes and memes we see on the internet, but we want to point out that it's actually a real thing.

Take this one one man in China for example.

Throws massive tantrum

The man from Kunshan, Jiangsu reportedly caused quite a scene in the middle of a busy road just because his daughter failed to solve a mathematics equation.

According to a report by the South China Morning Post, the man, known only as Gao, felt "so angry and so helpless" after his daughter failed to solve a simple maths problem despite having attended multiple lessons.

Gao reportedly felt so frustrated, he refused to go home and instead, he decided to lie down in the middle of the road and throw a massive tantrum.

The man's gigantic tantrum caused a pretty big scene, and soon after, a police officer approached Gao.

“My daughter subtracted 700 from 800. She said the result is 900,” the man reportedly told the police officer.

After much coaxing, the police officer managed to get Gao to stand up and relocate to a nearby footpath.

The police officer eventually managed to persuade Gao to go home.

There's definitely something with Chinese fathers and homework, as just last month, a man from Hunan was rushed to the emergency department after dislocating his jaw yelling at his daughter while trying to teach her about coin denominations.

Sigh, Asian parents have such a tough job.
