Japanese gaming giant, Nintendo, who previously released arguably the most successful mobile gaming app this year – Pokémon Go – has just dropped another exciting announcement that’ll sweep gaming fans all over the world off their feet!

The latest Nintendo invention is a hybrid gaming console that enables you to have various gaming experiences either at the comfort of your own home or on the go. If the console is resting at the Nintendo Switch Dock, it will connect to the television, but once it’s lifted out of the dock, it will automatically transition to portable mode.

The portable mode features two detachable Joy-Con controllers so you can snap it on and off from the device whenever you wish. This means you don’t have to carry those bulky game controllers whenever you’re travelling and you can even play it with your friends, doubling up the excitement of the game. However, the design does remind us of a PSP.

Now, doesn’t that makes your heart beat in excitement? Just look at how effortlessly and seamlessly the transition process looks like. Not only that, the sound of the controller sliding in and out of the sides gives you some sort of weirdly satisfying feeling. The clicking sound of the Nintendo Switch logo also sounds very catchy. We've got to admit, that video gave us all sorts of feelings, we're just really running out of patience until the day it comes out.

Among the games featured in the clip was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Fire, Super Mario, Mario Kart, and Splatoon, so Nintendo fans can expect to cop these games along with the console when it comes out.

The price of the console has yet to be announced but it is expected to roll out in March 2017, giving you ample time to start saving. We’re hoping that there will also be a Pokémon game for Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, let’s continue with our quest of being the greatest Pokémon master with the help of Pokémon Go.
