Over the past few years, the prices of flagship smartphones have gone up so much that people are forking over USD1,000 (RM4,150) or more for new technology.

For those of you who does not have pockets that deep, we have good news for you: Google is here to save the day.

With Google’s new Pixel 3a dan 3a XL smartphones, you can now get to enjoy all the premium features of a smartphone at a much lower price point.

For under RM1,700, you'll get, among other things, a top-spec camera and software, night sight, adaptive battery and the augmented reality (AR) built in Google Maps.


The Google Pixel 3a XL comes with a 6-inch OLED FHD + screen, with a Snapdragon 670 chip processing, 4GB RAM memory, 64GB storage space, 12-Megapixel f / 1.8 main camera, 8-megapixel selfie camera and 3700 mAh battery that is supported by 18W fast charging.

Meanwhile, the basic Google Pixel 3a comes with a 5.6-inch OLED FHD+ screen, with a Snapdragon 670 chip processing, 4GB RAM memory, 64GB storage space, 12-Megapixel f / 1.8 main camera, 8-megapixel selfie camera and 3000 mAh battery that is supported by 18W fast charging.

Both devices have a 3.5mm audio jack at the top with a fingerprint scanner at the back.


Google Pixel 3a is sold at a starting price of USD399 (RM1,655) while the Google Pixel 3a XL starts at USD479 (RM1,988). However, no news yet on whether the prices will remain when it makes its way to Malaysia, so let's just keep our fingers crossed.

The colour options include Just Black, Clearly White dan Purple-ish.
