Kuala Lumpur’s wellness scene has a new player, and it’s raising the bar for what a spa experience should feel like. GOYO, located in the upscale KLGCC Mall, introduces Malaysia to authentic Korean wellness traditions, complete with the country’s first Korean body scrub and a curated menu of head spa and facial treatments.
We experienced this first-hand with the Premium Head Spa and Relaxing Facial, a combination that promised scalp vitality and skin rejuvenation. Spoiler: it exceeded every expectation we had.
The space: Hanok-inspired calm
Step inside GOYO and everything else fades away. The air carries the soft scent of essential oils, while lighting mimics the gentle warmth of early morning, setting the stage for calm. Inspired by Hanok architecture, Korea’s traditional homes, the interiors balance natural wood and stone with delicate Hanji-inspired accents, creating a space that feels both grounded and refined.

Acoustic control ensures even shared areas remain hushed, while fully enclosed single and couple suites promise complete privacy. Every zone is thoughtfully designed: from the luxurious salon and hair drying area for post-treatment grooming to the dedicated head spa section, which houses six single rooms, two couple suites, and two traditional Korean scrub rooms.
We experienced one of GOYO’s couple suites, a serene, fully private space that felt spacious yet intimate, crafted for undisturbed relaxation with premium touches that elevate the entire experience.

Signature treatments: where tradition meets technology
GOYO’s menu is a curated blend of Korean spa rituals and modern innovation, designed to restore balance while delivering visible results.
One of its most distinctive offerings is Malaysia’s first authentic Korean body scrub. Available in two options—the Body Scrub (RM450, 60 mins) and the Premium Body Scrub (RM570, 90 mins)—this ritual combines warm cascading water with traditional Korean mitts to deeply exfoliate the skin. The result is transformative: skin that feels baby-soft, refreshed, and radiant, an experience that is both invigorating and indulgent.

Equally impressive are the Head Spa rituals, which go far beyond hair care. Each session begins with an AI-powered scalp analysis, followed by therapeutic massages on plush Takara Belmont chairs. Prices start at RM230 for the 60-minute Head Spa, while the Premium Head Spa (RM320, 75 mins) offers extended relaxation with a head, neck, and shoulder massage. For those seeking intensive care, options like the Silk Moist Head Spa (RM520, 90 mins) and Damage Repair Head Spa (RM550, 90 mins) deliver targeted nourishment and repair.
For the face, GOYO offers Korean facials designed to achieve the coveted “K-beauty glow.” The Relaxing Facial (RM115, 30 mins) is perfect for easing tension and refreshing the skin, while the Hydro Facial (RM140, 45 mins) and Detox Facial (RM210, 60 mins) provide deeper hydration and purification. Optional enhancements like Red Light Therapy and Oxygen Therapy elevate the experience for those seeking advanced results.
Our experience
We opted for the Premium Head Spa and Relaxing Facial combo (RM400 for members, RM435 for non-members), a pairing designed for holistic rejuvenation and, as we discovered, complete mental reset.
The experience began with an AI scalp analysis, a reassuringly high-tech step that felt both clinical and personal. Seeing a detailed breakdown of our scalp condition, dryness, buildup, and areas needing extra care, gave the treatment a sense of purpose beyond pampering.

From there, the Premium Head Spa unfolded like a slow exhale. The therapist started with gentle combing to stimulate circulation, then transitioned into a rhythmic scalp massage that melted tension from the head, neck, and shoulders.
Warm water cascaded delicately during cleansing, adding a sensory element that felt almost meditative. Every movement was deliberate, slow, precise, and deeply restorative. By the end of the 75-minute session, our scalp felt purified and revitalised, hair softer and lighter, and our minds astonishingly clear. This wasn’t just a treatment, it was a reset button.

The Relaxing Facial was the perfect complement. Using Korean techniques, the therapist eased facial tension while boosting circulation, leaving skin refreshed, soft, and naturally radiant, without the heaviness or redness that often follows a facial.
It’s ideal for anyone seeking visible results in minimal time, and together with the head spa, it created a sense of balance that lingered long after we left.
Our verdict
GOYO isn’t just a spa, it’s a sanctuary where time slows down and every detail is crafted for relaxation. From the Hanok-inspired interiors to the personalised treatments, the experience feels intentional at every step.
Whether you’re seeking scalp vitality, a radiant complexion, or the ultimate body detox, GOYO delivers indulgence with substance, combining authentic Korean techniques, advanced diagnostics, and premium products for results you can see and feel.
GOYO is where modern wellness meets quiet luxury, perfect for anyone seeking a moment of calm.
