This Ramadan, Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur invites diners to gather around the table for a comforting taste of tradition. Through its Selera Nostalgia buffet, the hotel brings classic Malaysian flavours into the spotlight, evoking the warmth and familiarity of home-cooked meals.

We were lucky enough to sample the spread ourselves to see whether it truly lives up to its price tag.

Seafood Fridays, Lamb Saturdays & Beef Sundays

What makes this buffet especially enticing is its thoughtfully curated menu, which changes daily throughout the holy month.

Available only three days a week, Hilton Garden Inn KL features a specific highlight for each buffet day.

Fridays: Seafood takes centre stage

Every Friday, seafood becomes the main attraction. Diners can expect dishes such as Siakap Bakar Bonda Klasik, Kerabu Soohoon Sotong, Ikan Tenggiri Sambal Lada, and Ketam Bunga Curry Buttermilk.

We tried the Ikan Tenggiri Sambal Lada, pairing it with fluffy white rice. The dish carried a noticeable kick of spice without being overwhelming. As for the Ketam Bunga Curry Buttermilk, it was rich and flavourful, with generous portions of sweet crab meat.

Saturdays: A feast for lamb lovers

Saturdays are reserved for those who enjoy lamb-based dishes. Highlights include Kambing Bakar Tradisi Nenek, Kerabu Kambing, Kambing Masak Kuzi, and Sup Tulang Kambing.

We highly recommend the Sup Tulang Kambing, which is packed with flavour and comes with chunks of tender lamb, making it both comforting and filling. Another must-try is the Kambing Masak Kuzi, which was incredibly tender. Paired with steamed white rice, the aromatic kuzi gravy truly hit the spot.

Sundays: Highlights for beef fans

Sundays are dedicated to beef lovers, with standout dishes such as Daging Lembu Nostalgia, Kerabu Daging, Daging Masak Dendeng, and Daging Masak Briyani.
