This Image Is Made Up Of 24.9 BILLION Pixels And You Can Even Zoom In On The Pedestrians’ Faces
China is known as the land of all things were ‘made in’ and in recent years, we’ve seen some impressive technology from them.
Some may be innovative, others a tad bit invasive (remember that they’re planning to implement a ‘social credit score’ by 2020? ‘Black Mirror’ vibes!).
And the latest tech that made headlines around the world recently is a panoramic image of Shanghai.
The bird’s eyes view image may seem like any other photo...until you realise that you can super zoom it to the point where you can see the pedestrian’s face or even their vehicle license plates clearly!

Apparently, the photo is taken with a quantum technology camera comprising of 24.9 billion pixels!

Big Pixel Technology, who describes the viral photo as “China’s first 10-billion pixel panoramic photo with more than 30 million page views”, is the company responsible behind the image.

The image, taken on top of the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, is reportedly the biggest image in Asia and the third largest in the world.
Apparently the photo has been around since 2016 but it resurfaced again and went viral in Malaysia recently.
