Indulge in a Variety of Cuisines at Crowne Plaza KLCC’s Sunday Splendor Hi-Tea Buffet
If you’re like us and prefer indulging in various cuisines, then Crowne Plaza KLCC’s Sunday Splendor Hi-Tea Buffet is perfect for you.
With a wide range of cuisines and food items to select from, ranging from local delicacies and Western dishes as well as varieties of desserts, soups, vegetables and salads, here’s what we tried at Crowne Plaza KLCC’s Sunday Splendor Hi-Tea Buffet:
Light and cold bites
We loved the variety of cold appetisers and salads available at the buffet. The typical Western salads, pasta salads and cold bites, such as smoked salmon, duck, and prawn cocktails, are delicious and incredibly fresh.

We also loved the Asian bits infused into the section through its offerings of Thai salads, local jeruk and even a DIY section to make your rojak buah.
Local delights
Before proceeding to the more filling sections, we opted to try out their selection of local fan favourites such as roti john, cekodok, and laksa Johor. We loved the array of cekodoks which were warm, while the roti john, which wasn’t fully flooded with sauce, was a nice change from the roti johns you’d often find at street stalls.

Although we enjoyed the fact that the laksa Johor allowed you to choose and mix your own condiments, we wished that the broth was a bit thicker.
They even have chicken rice however, we decided not to try it in the interest of keeping our bellies empty for their other offerings.
Hot dishes
As if all of that weren’t enough, Crowne Plaza KLCC’s Sunday Splendor Hi-Tea Buffet offered plenty more hot dishes. There’s a Western section featuring pasta with meatballs and mushroom soup, a satay section, and another section with various Indian and Asian dishes.

We enjoyed the very flavourful pasta and meatballs, as well as the thick and creamy mushroom soup. Other notable dishes included ayam goreng rempah, sweet and sour fish, and braised tofu.
Desserts & drinks
The number of desserts available was out of this world, from local kuih to Western pastries. They even have apam balik and scones, complete with cream and jam. Our personal favourite was the bread pudding, which had bits of chocolate and was heavenly when paired with the vanilla sauce.

We also enjoyed the drinks they offered, which were standard hot drinks and two variations of air balang, which consisted of mango milk and iced tea.
Good service & entertainment
When we went, it was pretty empty, so it was easy to get the attention of our servers. However, what was interesting was that they had hired a clown to entertain their customers.
The clown was a welcomed bit of entertainment. He came to our table and entertained us by making sculptures out of balloons.
