Instagram Will Soon Notify You If Someone Takes A Screenshot Of Your IG Story
Are you the type that secretly takes screenshots of your crush’s Instagram stories? Or maybe your frenemy’s stories so you can send them in your chat group and gossip with your friends?
If you answered yes to both questions, well, your ‘stalking’ days might be ending soon.
Instagram has already rolled out tests to selected Instagram users by notifying them that the “next time you take a screenshot or screen recording, the person who posted the story will be able to see.”

Yikes! After including the not entirely popular ‘Last Seen’ feature, and now this, Instagram?
Imagine how many high-school drama and fights are going to take place with this new feature. Not to mention girlfriends catching their boyfriends checking out other girls and the number of relationships that potentially will get ruined.

So, how does one know if their stories are being screen shot or recorded?
A logo that looks like a buffering symbol will appear next to the Instagram user’s name who took a screen shot. But users won’t get any notifications when someone does so; they will have to manually check the list of viewers on their Instagram stories and look out for the buffering logo.

Before you think we're all doomed, you can actually heave a sigh of slight relief as Instagram is only testing this feature to see if there is any impact on engagement before deciding to fully instate the feature for all users.
So, what do you think of this potential new feature? Yay or nay? Will it get people to stop stalking or will it be the end of relationships?
