We are all pretty much sick of shopping malls, aren’t we? Besides mindless window shopping, there does not seem to be much to do on weekends. There is of course also the usual café hopping. Yawn.

Those who want to escape into the pages of a good book like we do can check out this list of spots instead:

This place is somewhat troublesome to visit because it is open at odd hours from 3.00 p.m. – 7.00 p.m. from Tuesdays to Sundays. It is a relatively hidden spot unbeknownst to many located in Bangsar, somewhere we usually would not associate with books. This hidden gem with steel bookshelves and a modern façade stores a whopping 35,000 titles and counting.

Opened last year, this bookstore has become a must visit for those who want a shot for the Gram or to pick up some affordable titles. It is in the former cinema which has since been reimagined into a community and cultural hub.
